Sunnyside is an active community with organizations and activities for everyone. Here is a list of the organizations in our community.
Community Choir
There are about 24 members. They do not meet regularly but perform at many functions and arrange practices before upcoming performances. For information, call Muriel at 472-4442.

Fifty Plus Club
Meets the first Monday of the month with card games and darts on Wednesday nights. They also host social events, pot-luck suppers and arrange out-of-town excursions. Anyone over 50 is welcome to join. Meetings are held at the 50+ Club building in the Gulch. For more information, call Winzell at 472-4437

First Tricentia Scouts Group (Beavers and Cubs)
For all children between 5 and 9 years of age. Meets at the Lions Club on Tuesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For more information, call Amanda at 683-2353.

Heritage Association
Currently focused on enhancing Truce Sound Coastal Trail and the continued development of story boards for Truce Sound Viewpoint. Does not meet regularly. Call Sue at 472-4994 for more information.

Lions Club
The Lions Club is very active. Meetings are twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays. They sponsor dinners, dances and other events. They have a long-standing relationship with the service dog program and sponsor a march every year to raise funds for these dogs. For more information, call Ed at 472-4307.

Music Group
Phil Smith, our Town Clerk-Manager and leader of the group Scalliwag, runs a music program on Monday nights. People bring their musical instruments to practice and jam. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call Phil at 472-4442.

Recreation Committee
Organizes a variety of activities for children and adults. Call Lisa at 557-2003 for more information.

Town Library / Resource Centre
The Town Library is now a resource centre with a small lending library and computers for general use. There is a children’s section and a selection of Newfoundland books. For information, call Noreen at 472-4506.
